Remarks: Voted by all in attendance the "money shot of the trip." What a beautiful display of color, aerodynamics, and vortices. Climbing out from 12R in the early morning light. As Adam Wright said, "Fedex always pleases," and they sure do. Canon 350D
Remarks: Aircraft suffered engine problems and was forced to ditch in the water. The only occupant, the pilot, was rescued moments before this photo was taken. Suitcase in hand, he was taken off the top of the plane to a waiting ambulance.
Remarks: A photoshop change? Looks like it but no. This is DL's newest Song aircraft painted Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness support. Very ugly in my opinion but it is for a great cause so I like it. This is was big surprise to see coming down the runway. Unfortunately, the sun had to hide. The story of my life. Canon 300D
Remarks: JFK as seen from Delta 1803 (JFK-LAX). Taken just a couple minutes after takeoff from 22R bound for LAX. Here we are looking straight down 31L and 31R on the start of what I heard was a beautiful New York day! Shame I was off to the west coast to have some In N Out. Thanks goes out to Ryan Spellman for letting me crash at his place for a while the night before. Canon 350D
Remarks: I couldn't BEElieve my eyes. Just look at all those BEEs. I guess this was the right place to BEE as well as the right time to BEE there. You get the picture....BEE!!!!!!
Remarks: Great shot of Greystone a private strip just northeast of Ocala. This strip is also known as Jumbleair where John Travolta lives. His house can be seen at the center of the runway, his aircraft were not there that day however.
Remarks: First panel shot of the DA-50 Superstar, and what a panel it is! A G1000 with two 10 inch PFDs, a 10 inch MFD, and an integrated digital Garmin GFC 700 autopilot. Notice the wood and leather trim too. I think I have a new favorite single piston...
Remarks: Space Shuttle Endeavour lifts off the launch pad to begin STS-123. It wasn't long, maybe 5 seconds until the shuttle was in the clouds and the crowds "Ooooo's" turned to "Awwwwws." Worth the midnight drive from Jacksonville and possibly one of the funniest and ironic 10 seconds I've seen in a while.
