Remarks: Kalitta classic looking downright stunning in this light. These wonderful old freight haulers from Kalitta are never boring to photograph!
The 747 you see top right is Atlas Air's first passenger 747 N263SG, for SonAir, at HAECO being serviced before delivery which took place later that year.
Remarks: B-LAD about to begin its takeoff roll. B-LAD was recently repainted into normal CX colours after carrying the “100th aircraft: Progress Hong Kong” special livery for about 6 years. This A330 was delivered to the airline already carrying the special livery.
I wish Cathay did something more eye-catching and memorable for their 100th aircraft but it was still nonetheless a very nice tribute for an impressive milestone.
The all-white -400 parked in the background, N548MD, is now flying for Orient Thai as HS-STC. It previously flew with CX as B-HKD and SQ as 9V-SMN.
Remarks:Air India Boeing 772LR christened Assam taxiing from the international terminal to the active runway 27. In the background is the Mumbai Air Traffic Control (ATC) building. Also parked on the remote ramp are a Jet Airways Airbus A332 (VT-JWL) and an Air India Airbus A332 (VT-IWB).
Remarks: OX203 ready to begin its takeoff roll. This was taken not long after UTV joined the fleet as an ex-JAL 747-300. It's not particularly exciting taking photos of all-white aircraft but at least this one is a 747 classic!
Remarks: How many people do you need to move an Embraer-145? Well, in this case six guys. This Embraer had some engine problems right after landing, and this remote airport does not have ground support equipment. Everything must be done by hand.
