Remarks: B-KAA seen here hauling cargo for Dragonair back when the classic was still an economical choice for freight operators. I think the classics are just about my favorite aircraft to photograph & it’s sad there are barely any operators left now. B-KAA was originally a Singapore Airlines -312M (9V-SKP) before being converted to a freighter for Dragonair.
Remarks: One of the more exotic freight carriers in HKG over the years. They operated a series of charters to Hong Kong in 2006 & 2007 with this older variant of the A300 and now more recently using 744BDSFs after being rebranded as MyCargo Airlines. It was originally delivered to Air France as a 203 in ’82 before being converted to a 203(F) in the late 90s with S-C Aviation.
Remarks: I really hope there’s another GFS Open Day in the future as shots like this from HKG are not common. Since mid-2009 B-2290 has been wearing the rather attractive Shanghai Expo 2010 livery.
Remarks: China Southern 757 rolling for takeoff on 07R. They still have a good number of them in the fleet. Their 757s are rare in Hong Kong & don’t think any have operated to HKG in years.
Remarks: On that day I arrived from Melbourne on same day but actually next day as australia time. I was here to transfered to Continental Airlines to get home to Houston IAH on 757-300. Both airlines wasnt merge that time in 2007. Konica Minolta Dimage Z2 f/2.8-3.7 APO 38-380mm
