Remarks: 7 years after closure Kai Tak still retain its recognizable shape, but the terminal, tarmac and runway are all gone. A new cruise ship terminal will appear at the end of the "runway" around 2013-14. Sorry for the window reflection.
Remarks: When i booked my trip to Australia i thought it would be great to fly SYD-DXB on the A345 direct, after spending 13 hours on the plane and knowing it's another 4 until landing it becomes a lot less fun! Here is the rear cabin of this ultra long haul A340-500. This was taken just after the sun had risen outside, the interior lighting can be seen mimicking the sun rise to help people acclimatise to the current time zone. The fiber optic stars that twinkle through the night can also still be seen in the ceiling of this aircraft. Great stuff!! (1dmkii/15mm F2.8 Fishseye)
