Remarks: AWA's last 737-200 seen here taxiing under a water cannon salute from the city of Phoenix to commemorate the retirement of Sr. 737 Check Airman Tom Townsend. This also happened to be the last day of revenue service for America West's last 737-200 seen here arriving from MCI. Later that evening the aircraft flew PHX-ONT-PHX before being retired. Remarks: at BFI - Last of the N400 series registrations for this SWA 737-700, this jet is headed for the main runway at BFI- using the King County side due to problems with the taxiways in Jan 2005. The delivery pilots for this a/c were on the Boeing-Everett 747 tour with us also. This jet was test flighted out of PAE and parked on the ramp there also.
Remarks: at RNT - The "Inaugural flight" just seconds away, this brand new RyanAir 737-800 (Nose # 1642) sits at position and hold before it's first flight at Boeing-Renton. The flight departed without incident and landed at KBFI about 2hrs later. This was the first time I had witnessed an Inaugural flight at Boeing-Renton facility.
