Remarks: Someone told me this old thing was flying in Cuba for some time. When written off it was shipped to Moscow and placed here as an instructional airframe for students military training.
Remarks: Navigator panel of IL-62M with NV-PB controls. NV-PB is a VERY old Russian navigation system, a predecessor of modern FMCs. Despite its not very high accuracy it was successfully used by crews for flights all over the world from Far East to South America.
Remarks: Captain's side of IL-62M panel. A small wheel in front of a large one is used for nose wheel steering. Very convenient, I think, like in the car!
