Remarks: (Del 10/96) floating down Rwy 25 where it eventually landed to conclude flight MH123 from Kuala Lumpur. For one reason or another this particular aircraft wasn't a regular visitor to Sydney.
Remarks: "Bell Bird" (Built 1992) powering down Rwy 25 on departure to Melbourne as QF445. Aircraft has since been withdrawn from Qantas service and transferred to the New Zealand based Jetconnect where the aircraft is registered ZK-JTQ and retains a basic Qantas livery.
Remarks: (Del 7/97) touching down on Rwy 25 at the end of flight UA815 non-stop from Los Angeles. Around 50mm was all you needed to nab this shot once upon a time. Sadly, access to this position is no longer possible.
Remarks: (Del 8/01) touching down on Rwy 25 just prior to 7am as the overnight CX111 service down from Hong Kong. Sadly it is no longer possible to photograph from this position in Sydney, unless you've parked in the long term car park that is!
Remarks: (Built 2001) on short final for Rwy 25 as QF1549 from Coolangatta as the Moon rises in the East. Aircraft originally delivered to Impulse as VH-SMH and is currently flying as VH-NXE with QantasLink in Western Australia.
Remarks: (Del 9/94) in the final moments of gear retraction after departure off Rwy 25 as SQ222 home to Singapore. I know the shot's a little odd in composure, but you don't see this sort of angle pictured too often.
Remarks: Touching down on Rwy 25 as QF022 non-stop from Narita. I'm almost 3 years behind in editing my collection and it's such fun going through and finding shots like this.... time to get the D60 back out and retire the 30D I think!
