Remarks: This Heli belongs to the Romanian government and is used mainly for VIP transport. The side titles read "Unitatea Speciala de Aviatie", meaning "The Special Aviation Unit". This Mi-17 is stationed at Iasi's (LRIA) airport. Picture also depicts about 1/6 of the airport's only and very small arrivals/departure terminal/ramp area. The only scheduled airlines out of LRIA are Tarom (Romanian Air Transport - Romania's national air carrier) with ATR 42's to Bucharest's Otopeni Airport (LROP), Carpatair with Saab 340's to Timisoara International (LRTR) and Angel Airlines with BAe Jetstream 32's to Bucharest's other airport, Baneasa (LRBS). Note that all A/C are props, no scheduled jets. There were talks of a scheduled 737-200 from Rome, Italy to Iasi, but talks have long ceased.
