Remarks: If you look closely at the front door of the AF777, you can see the sun about to set below the horizon. Wintertime at LAX brings us a variety of weather conditions. On this clear day, the sun painted the jet a beautiful orangish hue. Also, in this BIG view, you can see a great amount of detail in every area of the shot.
Remarks: At the exact moment when gravity is overcome, we can see that it took 8 thousand feet to accomplish this. Wintertime is a great season to shoot from the Imperial Hill, as the sun takes a southerly rout across the Northern Hemisphere, and illuminates the 25 complex perfectly. Swiss is old favorite at LAX, and just recently started flying A340's here. But we'll never forget their majestic MD-11 that graced LAX for so many years.
