Remarks: (Built 1971) receiving a "hot" refuel prior to departing upwards to drop people downwards in the general vicinity of the area from which it originally went upwards!
Remarks: (Built 1992) The NRMA Care Flight Bell 412 sits idle at Hornsby Hospital just prior to 2200 local time after delivering a patient from Campbelltown under the command of pilot Dan Tyler. In 2004 this chopper was exported to India where it is still flying as VT-HGG with United Helicharters.
Remarks: (Built 1967) Parked perfectly for a photo or two at this airport dedicated to Skydiving an our or so to the South West of Sydney. This Jet Ranger was built under licence from Bell by Agusta in Italy. Ex G-AVSW and 5N-AHM.
Remarks: (Built 1971) parked on the apron between regular sorties as an aircraft utilised in bombing small parcels of land with humans attached to parachutes.
Remarks: (Built 1956) Backtracking on Rwy 26 prior to departure. This aircraft is operated as part of the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) fleet. Ex RAAF aircraft A85-435 where it served with 1BFTS and finally with 76SQN in a FAC role out of RAAF Williamtown.
Remarks: (Built 1945) climbing away from Rwy 26 on departure. This Dak is ex RAAF A65-94 where it served with 38SQN and finally with the Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU). It was acquired by HARS in June 2000 and became VH-EAF.
Remarks: (Del 6/66) Stored at a small airfield South West of Sydney. Well worth a drive just to go and see it! The last flight by VH-ECE was on 25 May 1981 from Avalon to Sydney. On retirement, the aircraft had accumulated 13 936 hours 8 minutes total time, 53 882 landings and 8 230 approach and overshoot cycles.
