Remarks: Virgin's attempt to break into the low cost market was largely unsuccessful and eventually ended up being absorbed into Brussels Airlines in 2007. [1400 pixels]
Remarks: Another rare beast, an A320-100 series. BA and Air France were the only two airlines that operated the original A320 before production was standardised around the 200. You can see the tell tale lack of winglets identifying this as one of those few 100s ever built. [1200 pixels]
Remarks: Arguably one of the great airline liveries of all time, the unmistakable Landor livery. By Jan of 2002 there were not many of these left flying around as almost the whole fleet had been given a World Tail, thankfully I was able to grab them in the digital age. [1400 pixels]
Remarks: Its funny how time changes your views on things. At the time I hated the World Tails, now I miss them. This was one of the better ones, the Polish 'Koguty Lowickie' design. Its funny at the time that us LHR regulars used to bemoan yet another BA 757 on approach, yet now some 9 years later the airline don't even have a single one left. Good days indeed. [1600 pixels]
