Triple Crown One, an aircraft with a special livery dedicated to Southwest's Employees celebrating Southwest's fifth consecutive annual Triple Crown (best on-time performance, best baggage handling and fewest complaints as measured by the U.S. Department of Transportation). This special paint was introduced June 9th, 1997. I like it!
Remarks: "Tripple Crown" arrives just in time to relieve "Slam Dunk One" of its spot at gate 7. The livery was adopted in 1997 in recognition of Southwest's employees earning the airline the Tripple Crown award five times. Seen here with the old "Mustard Rocket" tail, it departed to Oakland.
