Remarks: First glimpse of 9V-SPJ (Without titles and tail logo) seen on finals for RWY02L after an Air-Test as flight SQ744 after being retired from Singapore Airlines fleet early this month after 15 years of service with the airline. This aircraft is now re-registered as N834AC under Aircastle and has left Singapore since.
Remarks: The end of an era is near. 9V-SPJ is now re-registered as N834AC, going to an aircraft leasing company called Aircastle. With 9V-SPJ gone, only two B747-400 remains.
Remarks: Would it be the very last chance to see their B747-400 appears in Hong Kong? Great to see old friend visiting Hong Kong again during Chinese New Year 2012 at the tempreture below 10C! I also hereby thank you to my great sweety to stay with me under that poor weather condition for half day spotting! "SINGAPORE 859" taxiing to rwy 07R and heading to Singapore in the morning.
Remarks:Business Class on the Upper Deck of the 747-400. For those still wishing to try this experience, do so before the Airline bids a final goodbye to the 747 on March 25, 2012. Special thanks to the friendly CS and LS on SQ25 for allowing me the opportunity to photograph the upper deck for the first and last time.
