Remarks:"Mandurah" making her way past Sydney tower for the very last time as she heads into retirement at Victorville, heading there via LAX as QF11. The perfect Sydney weather made her look her best but unfortuneatly it does not make up for the loss of the 2nd QF 744 this month. In a few weeks VH-OJJ will be joining her sister ships in retirement and following them to a desert. At least she left in her full livery making her seem as though she is heading away on just another flight to the U.S West Coast. Farewell to another workhorse Qantas 747. [Canon 500D]
Remarks:Mandurah operating as Qantas 11 to Los Angeles today in lieu of the usual A380, just over a month away from its last ever flight out of Sydney with QF.
Remarks: It's nice to find photos of aircraft that no longer serve LHR, as of earlier this year Qantas stopped all 747 service to London and it is now solely an A380 route. Here is OJQ, named 'Mandurah' arriving in front of a thunderous dark sky looking great with a shaft of sunlight falling on it's fuselage while it glides in over the tree tops and roof tops of Myrtle Avenue. Perfect. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks:Mandurah almost ready for taxi after push and start heading out to JNB as QF63. The Qantas guys look absoloutly tiny under the Queen. 1200px [Canon 50D]
