Remarks: The perfect hour of the day, the perfect weather conditions for a full-livery, great 200-series, Kalitta Air! But no, here's the all-white. Come on guys, send us the right one... Anyway, the sound of a classic is always great.
Remarks: "Connie 248" taking off very heavy bound for Delhi in nice light and visibility (which in typical HK fashion worsened later that day). This aircraft started off with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SKQ in the late eighties & in the 90s changed ownership to Southern Air (N750SJ) & South African (ZS-SBJ). It was acquired by Northwest Cargo as N644NW in October of ’99 and flew with them until it was stored in December 2009. It was then picked up by Kalitta the next year.
Remarks:An awesome Classic Connie B742F on tow from Bay 98 for Bay 3 during the last few minutes of 'The Golden Hour' operating one of 10 Australian Defence Force chaters. She would depart at night bound for Singapore a Kabul and return 2 days later via New Delhi. Most people were expecting these services to be opperated by the -400's although every service during the 10 days were all Classic -200's which hopefully fly for many years to come! 1200px [Canon 50D]
Remarks: Tug Silver Victor towing this awesome classic 742 down t'way golf from bay 98 to bay 2 for departure that night to Singapore on a military charter. My 600th shot in the database. [Canon 500D]
Remarks:Connie 9575 taxiing up to Bay 98 after arrival from Singapore in a short period of charter flights opperating to Kabul for the Australian Military. 792's only visit to Sydney during these 10 flights over 10 days. 1200px [Canon 50D]
Remarks: Catching a 747 Classic is becoming more and more difficult, so it was great to catch this one taking up most of the Polderbaan on departure today.
