Remarks: View of A20-623 after being modified to Tanker Role, by Israel Aircraft Industries staff at the Hawker de Havilland Hangar at Tullamarine. She was the fourth and last Tanker Mod aircraft. The aircraft was flown that day (in Cargo Configuration) at 25,000 feet over Bass Strait, during a 5.6 hour Post-Mod Test Flight which included AAR of a Hornet over Wagga NSW. Originally Qantas VH-EAC (Cn 19623, Del 1968), sold to RAAF June 1983, and converted to Tanker role in May 1992 and retired in 2007. Low res photo. Remarks: Overhead Richmond township after departing Richmond RAAF base fitted for a tanking mission. This aircraft is now retired from service and is a source of parts for the last flying example in RAAF service.
