Remarks: Many thanks to the crew for allowing access for this shot and especially to the captain for snapping a treasured portrait of me in his seat (go to start of (AMS-MSP-LAX) series... Click Here)
Remarks: DL2293 (MSP-LAX) ... breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range as we fly over one of the national parks about 20 minutes before touchdown at LAX (see next in series ... Click Here)
Remarks: DL2293 (MSP-LAX) ... just over 7 miles out from our 12R departure we've just crossed the Lafayette Freeway and are circumnavigating St.Paul, here in a north-easterly direction, before overflying Minneapolis on our south-westerly heading towards Los Angeles. The "Concord Street North" section of Highway 156 can be seen next to the rail track which runs under the winglet while the industrial plants at the curiously named "Pigs Eye Island Number One" lie about mid wing just forward of the leading edge. Most conspicuous though is St.Paul Downtown airport / Holman Field which can be clearly identified top left. Google Earth locator for our position: Lat. 44°54'2.03"N, Long. 93° 3'18.29"W (see next in series... Click Here).
