Remarks: Scanned from Fuji slide. Wearing a celebratory '50 Years - Bridging the Pacific' sticker. Delivered to Eastern in May 1969. Registered to Zenith Airlines as 5N-INZ for a short time in 1993. Joined Northwest in 1994, and Delta in 2008. Withdrawn from use and stored at Mojave in February 2010.
Remarks: Scanned from Fuji slide. First delivered to North Central Airlines in November 1976. Then Republic, Northwest and Delta. Last revenue service was inbound Detroit on 1st September 2011, then onto Mojave for retirement the same day.
Remarks: Scanned from Fuji slide. Taken from the good old days when 727's and DC9's were quite mundane and repetetive. Delivered in October 1968, later flying with Capitol Air Express, AeroTour Dominicana as HI-656CA, and Air Dabia as 5V-TPC then C5-ADA. Reportedly stored at Banjul now.
Remarks: In the summer of 1995, the airport began a major renovation of Airdside D. The airlines using Airside D had a temporary move to Airside E which had been vacant since Continental moved over to the new Airside A. These airlines included Northwest, United, Valujet, Kiwi Intl & Spirit. Here we have a Northwest DC-9-51 occupying gate 63. This was taken from an airport service road, a location I wouldn't dare try today. Scanned from an old print.
