Remarks: Taxiing in after displaying at the Wide Bay International Air Show. You can see the lack of forward vision the pilot would have in this aircraft while on the ground.
Remarks: Port side view of Judy Pay's CAC built CA-18 Mk 21Mustang VH-JUC Cn 1430, getting airborne on Rwy 14 at the Wide Bay International Airshow at Bundaberg Airport on at 20Aug2011. VH-JUC, actually ex-RAAF A68-105, is painted as No 3 Squadron WWII Mustang KH677 Code CV-P. The aircraft was flown by Guy Bourke in company with FEW P-51 Scale Replica Mustang VH-WIK. Both Mustangs were flown from their Tyabb home base in Victoria for the three day Wide Bay Airshow.
Remarks: Put to bed for the night at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. This is really the former RAAF A68-105 which was taken on charge on 21-11-47 and struck off charge at Tocumwal on 23-4-58. It was saved from scrapping and passed through a series of owners until restored to fly at Tyabb, Vic, between 1990-98. It is painted in the wartime markings of 3 Squadron, RAAF.
Remarks: Kicking up a lot of dust as it performs its run-ups at the Jamestown Airshow. Believe it or not, there's an Air Tractor (VH-ANI) in amongst the dust!
