Remarks: This is a prototype VTOL military transport aircraft developed for the German Air Force by the Dornier Flugzeugwerke in the 1960´s. Despite the project being very successful it was canceled due to too high costs and a change of requirements by the German Air Force. Now it is on display at the Dornier-Museum at Friedrichshafen Airport
Remarks: Only two of these aircraft have been built. It was intended as a VTOL transporter for NATO use, but the project was prematurely terminated. Thie Do-31 is the proud property of the Dornier museum.
Remarks: An experimental aircraft for testing Dornier's supercritical wing. This was later used in the Do-228 and Do-328. This TNT is the only of its type and it is on display where it belongs: the Dornier museum.
