Remarks: After many months I have finally managed to get a photo of a Black Hawk at OOL! Black Hawk 105 is seen here landing from Oakey on a regular visit on its way south.
Remarks: Great Balls of Fire! Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 A25-222 (Named 'Sabre'), just manages to out-run the pyro-technic fireballs at the Avalon International Airshow on Saturday 05Mar2011. The fireballs were part of a simulated ground attack sequence by the Purple Cobras Aerobatic Team, flying Classic F/A-18A Hornets.
Remarks: "Tenacious" (Del 5/90) preparing to depart using the callsign "Blackhawk 213" after attending the Aviation Careers Expo run by Aviation Australia. Just prior to take off the chopper returned to parking and shut down with a maintenance issue that would require 24hrs to rectify.
Remarks:Starting up ready to track south heading for Port Macquarie after a quick fuel stop with a much larger Jetstar A330 ready to board to Tokyo. [Canon 50D]
Remarks: It appears these two troopers are not that happy about riding in the back of a Blackhawk conducting a simulated air assault at Avalon 2011..fingers crosses seemed to work.
