Remarks: This aircraft have along history. But this history is too long to write it here. In the 1960th, my grand-father, Mister Fernand Nittler the owner of a big transport compagnie, Nittler Transport, buyed 2 cargo planes. On of thoses was TF-ERA, a superconstellation for the route Luxembourg-Africa. Many thanks to my grand-mother and my mother for the infos. Btw, it was an ex-Luxair plane.
Remarks: One of TWA's last three passenger-configured Starliners (along with N7318C and N7321C), retained for charter work, awaits assignment on the airline's LAX hangar ramp. The 91-seat aircraft could be spotted by an extra window, seen below the "S" in the Trans World Airlines titles.
Remarks: Seen at the original O'Hare terminal building, TWA's 'Star of the Tigris' later flew for Alaska Airlines and is now being restored by Lufthansa retirees at Auburn-Lewiston, Maine. It is planned to fly the airplane, in full LH colors, on the European airshow circuit beginning in 2013.
