Remarks: Rare low res view of Aeroflot Kamov Ka-32 helicopter CCCP-31000 on static display at the 1988 Richmond Bi-Centennial Airshow. (This was the First Ka-32 Registered in the USSR.) I saw a similar Ka-32 helo (CCCP-31064) at the October 1992 Avalon Airshow. The use of a pair of contra-rotating three-blade rotors (on a common concentric mast) is an engineering wonder. Main rotor torque is cancelled, hence there is no tail rotor. An engine of the Aeroflot An-124-100 Ruslan (CCCP-82007) which brought this helo to Australia is at top left.
