Remarks: 'Riama' arriving at the Wide Bay International Airshow. Built in 1934 and registered G-ACRF, VH-UXG was first imported into Australia in April 1936. Written off after crashing and burning at Archerfield in 1954, she rose Phoenix-like from the ashes. Tragically, crashed again and was destroyed on 1 October 2012 near Gympie, Qld.
Remarks: Aer Lingus' wonderful little 'Iolar' was restored to airworthy status for the airlines 75th anniversary in May 2011. Built in 1936 at Hatfield, England, span 14,5 m, lenght 10,5 m, height 2.9 m, driven by two Gipsy Major with 130 hp enabling 'Iolar' to reach a speed of 210 kph. EI-ABI spent a day at HAM and moved on to Uetersen both for sightseeing flights. Thank you Aer Lingus for making this experience possible.
