Remarks: Wearing 42-2429 registration but ex 51-11665 with the US Air Force. This plane was used in the James Bong movie, Octopussy. On static display at the aviodrome.
Remarks: Indy Airshow. Just in off the runway and ready to park. Always neat to catch them moving & props rotating. This is one sharp looking aircraft.
Remarks: Flashback to the 1940's. One of the neat things about a smaller airshow like this is watching these fantastic looking crafts pull in off the runway and parking right by you. Makes for some great photo opportunities.
Remarks: Grimes Flying Lab lighting test aircraft for the Grimes Company of Urbana, Ohio. The aircraft was built as a transport for the U.S. Air Force in 1953, sold as surplus in 1960, and eventually acquired by Warren Grimes in 1963 for conversion to a lighting testbed..
Remarks: On display at Aviodrome - Lelystad (EHLE).
This plane played his roll in the James Bond Movie "Octopussy" (1983), meaning that many of us seen it in action!
