This particular aircraft as such an impressive background. It was part of an mid-air collision with an Shenyang J-8 fighter on what is now considered as the Hainan Island incident! The fighter and his pilot were lost and the P-3 was damaged in such a way that the crew struggled a lot to maintain control, until a emergency landing was made in Lingshui airfield. The aircraft and the crew were captured and detained and were only released ten days later. Seen here landing on runway 33.
