Notes:

[1600px] This is one of the more interesting 747s to visit Hong Kong in recent years. HS-STC had a long history with the city over its 24 year life. She started off with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SMN, which understandably made numerous visits first to Kai Tak and later Chek Lap Kok. It was then bought up by local carrier Cathay Pacific in 2004 together with several SQ 744s. B-HKD, as she was then known as, served CX for 6 years before she was sold off to Thai leisure airline Orient Thai. In typical fashion of the airline, it kept the CX interior to save costs. After another 6 years with OX and several months after this photo was taken, the airline ran into financial problems and the 747 was just left in Hong Kong. You will still see it today parked up in an outer bay just outside of the HAECO hangers.
