This Tiger from 8 Staffel is seen here taking-off on full re-heat, nose-wheel extended, from its home base at Meiringen, having launched from one of the small turf-covered QRA-style sheds near the main site. Swiss F-5 pilots are largely reservists, unlike their F-18 colleagues. (Photographers can be seen at the runway crossing barrier on the northern perimeter of the airfield.)
