Notes:

The Aircraft Maintenance and Storage Unit relocated to Shawbury from Kemble in 1981. Its role is to store and maintain retired aircraft required to support fleets in service. The Hawk T.1 is intended to remain active with the Royal Navy until 2027 and with the Red Arrows until 2030. Major Overhauls of airframes with the lowest hours are undertaken in a sequence intended to extend the life of the type as long as possible. Here, a Red Arrows T.1 is seen being prepared for a return to service.
