Close-cropped vertical aspect front Port-side view of Australian Army CH-47D Chinook helicopter A15-106 Cn M-3454, (in dark matte Olive Drab livery) at Avalon (YMAV) on 17Feb1999. A15-106 is shown hovering with a 155 mm Howitzer as a slung load. The aircraft was also on Static Display during the 1999 Avalon International Airshow. The Chinook was delivered to 12 Squadron RAAF as A15-006 in Mar 1974 ex FMS 73-21975, Cn E-006. After A15-006 was transferred to the Australian Army in 1989, the helo was 'traded in' to Boeing Vertol for up-grade to CH-47D standard in Sep 1993.
