This view, looking northwest, shows JFK's Terminal 8 (predominantly AA airlines, but Air Berlin, Qatar, now Alaska Air, Finnair, LAN, Royal Jordanian and TAM are presently there as well) with the distinctive external curved steel arch on the right. In the foreground is the parking garage (not terribly interesting) but in the near background is one of the fuel farms to the left, the AA maintenance hangar (the blue building), then beyond is the Belmont horse racing stadium, with lastly, the Empire State building and the Manhattan skyline (about 13 miles away LOS). Thanks to the IAT folks for the control tower visit (1600x1067 pixels).
