This Spitfire was sent to the RNAF as H-8 then 3W-8. In 1959 it was then put into the war museum at Delfzijl, then Anthony Fokker Technical School in 1973 before ending up at the Aviodome Museum in 1978 before being moved to Aviodome in 2002 and displayed as MH424 H-53. In 2006 Historic Flying Ltd purchased the aircraft and shipped it to Duxford. It is intended that this aircraft will be restored to flying condition.
