Starting up the engines for a runway 35 night departure towards Odessa, Ukraine (ODS/UKOO) as UKL4049, 2327z (00:27LT), with 6 tons of cargo. Sadly this beautiful bird (c/n 8345802 l/n 58-02, built in 1968) crashed almost one year later after take off from Tamanrasset, Algeria (TMR/DAAT), tech stop on its flight UKL4012 from Prestwick (UK) to Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, killing all the 7 souls on board. The aircraft was carrying oil drilling equipment, reportedly a situation of overload has occured and it crashed 15km south of TMR. May the crew rest in peace. [1200px]
