Still used by the navies of Brazil and Argentina, the Grumman S-2 Tracker is an anti-submarine warfare aircraft. Designed to counter the threats posed by Soviet Union subs, the S-2 featured the latest sub detection equipment and served many functions like fire bombing, target towing, photo reconnaissance and so on. This aircraft on display here entered service with the US Navy in 1957 and retired in Jan 1979 after 11000 flight hours and 650 catapult launches.
