The newly expanded check in area at London Southend Airport, a day after the official opening of the terminal extension by the Secretary of State for Transport, The Right Honourable Patrick McLoughlin. Still small yet perfectly formed, the expansion of check in area has resulted in an additional four desks being installed, with room for a further four. The central search area, baggage reclaim have also been increased in size the latter by five and a half times. The airport operator Stobart Group, aims to achieve an annual passenger pit of in excess of 5 million passengers per annum through this recently expanded facility.
