On 01Mar1914, Lieutenant Eric Harrison performed the First Australian Military flight in Bristol Boxkite CFS 3 Cn 133 at Point Cook, while a member of No 1 Flight, Australian Flying Corps (AFC). AVM Mark Skidmore re-enacted the flight in a RAAF Museum Replica aircraft on Saturday 01Mar2014 at Point Cook (YMPC). During the Centenary of Military Aviation Airshow on 02Mar2014, RAAF 6 Squadron F/A-18F Super Hornet (Rhino) A44-215 did a 100th Anniversary flying display over Point Cook, demonstrating 100 years of aircraft development since the historic First Flight performed by Bristol Boxkite CFS 3. (Melbourne laid on a sunny afternoon for the Rhino’s Airshow Finale.)
