Notes:

Overview of the main part of "Los Rodeos" Airport (TFN/GCXO): You can see the airport buildings with the two control towers (the old one to the left and the new one to the right) and the main passenger terminal. Together with Las Palmas Intl. Airport (Gran Canaria) TFN is the main base of the regional airline Binter Canarias/Naysa. In this picture, five out of eighteen ATR-72 Turboprops are parked at the apron. Binter offers flights to all the other Canary Islands, to Funchal/Madeira and to the Western Sahara. Tenerife Norte is also used as the islands main cargo airport, therefore you can see some cargo airplanes operated by Swiftair (733F) and Gestair (752F) in a "cold-and-dark" parking-situation. The photo was taken on a small hill between a big amount of flowers next to the airport's taxiway Echo 4 (not visible) - former known as Charlie 4, where the world's worst airplane crash took place in 1977.

Hey Simon, especially the foreground with the yellow flowers makes this marvellous overview picture of Tenerife-Norte Airport absolute worth a comment (: Greets Phil
