Looks like its in the middle of nowhere, but when you Google earth it, there is habitation to either side and behind the photographer is Aqaba itself. I love the shot as it gives the impression of loneliness.

Impressive airport and great shot. Notice the interference "rainbow" likely from the polarized film on the windscreen (top left of image). Nice catch!
