First visit to Australia by USAF F-22A Raptors. Two Raptors - Serials 06-4108 and 06-4115 were on static diplay at Avalon's 'Heavy Metal' display area during the Avalon International Airshow in March 2011. They were displayed with an USAF B-1 and C-17A. This Stbd side view shows aircraft 06-4108 fitted with two external tanks (with the weapon bay doors open). RAAF Exchange Pilot Sqn Ldr Matt Harper flew one of the Raptors from Elmendorf AFB Alaska to Avalon.
