Notes:
The spot, affectionately known to us LBA people as 'The Bench' is a short walk from the terminal and gives great views of departing aircraft. It's a little limiting for arrivals as you shoot across a lot of tarmac so heat haze can be a problem but it's a great place to view 32 departures from. There are 2 decent fish and chip shops and a good pub nearby when a little refreshment is needed! Here fellow photographer and good friend Adam Spalding shoots a departing Jet2 737. It was good to see you at my humble little local mate!

Looks like an excellent location Paul. It surprises me that nobody else is there with those views and that lovely weather. Thanks for sharing all that information. This airport is now on my list.
