Notes:

Mention the words 'Myrtle Avenue' to any aviation photographer around the world and even if they've never been to the UK the image that springs to mind would probably be something like this. Here, on a patch of grass only a few minutes walk from Hatton Cross tube station you get perfect views of arrivals to one of the worlds busiest airports, and the traffic is much relentless. An aircraft lands roughly every 90-120 seconds and it's like that virtually all day, so your trigger finger gets a good workout! Free busses connect Hatton Cross station with other spots around the airport and the terminal itself and there are plenty of hotels within moderate walking distance of the 27 approaches, making it a fairly easy airport to visit for a few days. Here fellow photographers Jimmy Leaman, Dave Henderson and Aidan Ingham shoot the speedy arrival of an aircraft as much associated with Heathrow airport as I am with eating cheeseburgers; the big and beautiful British Airways 747. Thanks for an awesome 3 days guys!

Nice shot. Myself and Paul Furmanski were there the same day, don't recall seeing you guys though.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! Very much appreciated. Rob, we were in the very back corner of the field on the little hill for most of the day, so if you saw a bunch of people back there messing about and generally being stupid then that was us!

Paul - as mentioned already, it's not an easy shot to pull off. But may be it is to an accomplished photographer like you. Well done.
