The T-43A navigation trainer entered service with the USAF in 1973 and serves with Air Education and Training Command at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Each aircraft has 12 student stations and is equipped with avionics identical to operational Air Force aircraft, including mapping radar, very high frequency omnidirectional range and tactical air navigation radio systems; inertial navigation systems; radar altimeter and all required communication equipment. This one is seen arriving for RIAT.
