Nigel Barratt’s 1946 Silvaire is seen here on take-off in a staggering side-slip at the start of one of the most dramatic flying demonstrations I’ve ever seen, at the Luscombe fly-in at Oaksey Park. Its performance included vertical wing-overs, low-level Immelmanns and long, curving one-wheel rollers, to the delight of the onlookers, all on 85 horse power. G-BRUG was previously registed N1735K.
