This particular plane was designed for service in the Far East during WWII, but the war ended before the aircraft saw service. It was transferred to French Naval Air Service for service until 1962 before being handed over to the association that rules the museum. It bears the markings of a 463 Squadron (RAAF) Lancaster which performed 93 raids over Europe, some of them with several RAAF Association members.
