Notes:

Many of the old jets at the Kemble Air Day resonate with the history of the place. The Sabres provided to the RAF by the USA under lend lease arrangements all arrived here following a trans-Atlantic ferry trip known as Operation Bechers Brook (named after the water jump in the Grand National) in 1952. It was the RAFs first swept-wing fighter and the first to require a hard shell pilots helmet. (400D; Sigma 80-400@223mm; fluid-head tripod; 160th sec exposure; stabilization switched off)
