August 06, 2005. Crew reported that the twin turboprop had developed engine problems, and requested an emergency landing at Palermo. The aircraft was unable to make it and ditched into the sea, some 15 miles off the coast. The previous day during maintenance in Tunisia the Fuel Quantity Indicator was changed. Erroneously the FQI for an ATR-42 aircraft was installed. Currently stored at Palermo Boccadifalco Airport (LICP). Grazie Salvo.
