Great seeing the Flying Springbok orange tail of SAA livery which the airline had from early the early 70's 80's to 1998 when the current livery was revealed. The Changing of the fleet from the Flying Springbok livery to the new livery was about a 2half yrs the B747-400s of which there were 8 in the fleet, were the last to get the livery change. It was about this time that SAA's mostly Boeing fleet of aircraft were replaced with Airbus aircraft. Which today is all Airbus.
Happy Nostalgic memories..The SAA B747 fleet of the 80s / 90s + early 00s seeing the Orange Iconic tail with the flying Springbok..nothing good lasts forever.
