Notes:

A scan of a picture that is now 20 years old and a new registration to the database! Taken about 5 minutes after the a/c arrived on stand in Shannon after its flight from the Tupolev factory for painting in Aeroflot colours. Shannon at this time had a regular contract with Aeroflot for the painting of a/c. It was also a regular re-fueling point for most of their flight to and from the Atlantic flight tracks. Due to the fact that other crews had requested 'Political Asylum' at Shannon over the years, the crew of this flight were escorted by a KGB officer. About 30 minutes after this shot was taken, she was towed to the hangar in the back ground. This a/c crashed, as EP-MCF while landing on 01 September 2006 in Mashad, Iran.
