This one was the first of the 16 armed Mi-17 that the 'Fuerza Aerea Revolucionaria' has received from the Russian manufacturer Mil. The most relevant external difference vs. the Mi-8 is the more efficient "pusher" tail rotor, instead of the "tractor" in the Mi-8. In the background you can see an An-24, a Yak-40 and a Mi-24.
