This 1982 Islander (previously G-BJYW) used to be the Red Devils army parachute team transport – it is registered to Fly BN Ltd, a Bembridge-based product support and maintenance subsidiary of the manufacturer. Fly BN Ltd recently established itself as the sole European reassembly facility for the Cirrus composite light aircraft, for which there is a maintenance facility at Staverton – there may be some connection with this Islander’s visit.
